OnePlus Watch vs Oppo Watch

Slowly but steadily, users are getting more attracted to smartwatches. Recently we have a new smartwatch on the market which is the OnePlus Watch.

OnePlus released its first smartwatch along with the OnePlus 9 series. The OnePlus Watch is priced around $300 and will be compared to the Oppo Watch that was launched last year which also retails at the same price. The Oppo Watch has two variants – 41mm and 46mm and unlike the OnePlus Watch, the Oppo Watch comes with a square dial similar to that of the Apple Watch.

Here is a side-by-side comparison of the two wearables.

• Display and Design

The OnePlus Watch comes with a circular dial. There are two buttons provided on the side of the watch. The body of the watch is made up of 316l stainless steel which is very lightweight. It has a 1.39 -inch AMOLED Display with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels.

On the other hand, the Oppo Watch comes with a square dial. Its body is made up of Aluminum and features fluoro rubber straps. It has a 1.6 -inches AMOLED Display with a resolution of 320 x 360 pixels. The Oppo watch is slightly lighter in comparison to the OnePlus watch which weighs around 40 grams whereas the OnePlus watch weighs around 45 grams. Unlike the OnePlus watch, its have an always-on-display panel.

• Specs & Software

OPPO Watch has the most powerful chipset and 1 GB of RAM while the OnePlus watch also has RAM Of 1 GB but has an internal storage of 8 GB. The Oppo watch has a storage capacity of 4 GB.

Oppo watch is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100 with Google wear operating system. However, OnePlus has not mentioned which processor is powering the OnePlus watch.

Both wearables are water-resistant. However, the OnePlus watch has 110+ workout modes and automatic workout detection for jogging and running whereas the Oppo watch has Tracking indoor and outdoor running, outdoor walking, outdoor cycling, swimming, and more.

• Sensors

Talking about the sensors, both watches have an almost similar set of sensors. OnePlus Watch is provided with an Acceleration sensor, Gyroscope sensor, Geomagnetic sensor, Optical heart rate, and blood oxygen sensor, Ambient light sensor, Air pressure sensor, Capacitance sensor whereas the Oppo Watch features a 3-axis accelerometer sensor, Gyroscope sensor, Geomagnetic sensor, Barometric pressure sensor, optical heart rate sensor, and Ambient light sensor.

• Battery and price

Both the watches have similar battery life. The OnePlus watch is backed up by a 402 mAh battery whereas the Oppo watch has a 430 mAh battery. Talking about their prices, the Oppo watch comes in AU$449 (41mm) and $549 (44mm) respectively and the OnePlus watch comes just under AU$300.
