iPhone 14 Pro vs iPhone 14 Pro Max: What's the difference?

iPhone14 pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are the Apple series expected to launch in 2022. Though Apple hasn’t declared the iPhone 14 launch date, iPhone rumors suggest the next iPhone release in September 2022. The new iPhone latest iPhone 2022 looks forward to succeeding in the range of markets of the iPhone13 Pro.

According to iPhone 14 rumours and leaks, there is much more in store, with additional feature reductions than last year's models, including 120Hz displays and telephoto cameras. In addition, Apple will release a larger version of its 6.1-inch regular iPhone, dubbed the iPhone 14 Max, instead of an iPhone mini. Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max run on iOS 16.

Design

If you wonder what iPhone 14 will look like, then according to the Apple iPhone 14 leak information, the iPhone 14 Pro vs 14 Pro Max significantly differs in size. The real difference is that the iPhone 14 Pro Max pushes the boundaries of manageability due to its large size. iPhone 14 mini won't launch as iPhone 13 mini because iPhone 13 didn't make a good sale.

If we ignore the size differences, we can see that the two phones are very similar in exterior design. Both adhere to the iPhone 12 design language, which reintroduced flat frames to the iPhone and, now in its third iteration, is expected to shine the brightest.

The big difference is that Apple's high-end phones will feature a new, i-shaped notch instead of the now-standard iPhone. In addition, they result in a more futuristic appearance for the iPhone 14 Pro vs iPhone 14 Pro Max and a more functional status bar with additional indicators and icons.

Display

The big difference is that Apple’s super-premium phones will introduce substitutes to maintain the standardized i-shaped notch that will replace the standard.

iPhone 14 pro might look like the previous phone, but iPhone 14 pro match does not look like any previous iPhone, as Apple is getting rid of the notch. The titanium builts the frame.

The display screen will have a 6.8 inch 1284*27778 OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 458 pixels per inch. It's still possible that some display details will change, such as the brightness; describing it so far sounds like the screen on the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Performance and software

The A16 Bionic chipset will power the top-of-the-line iPhone 14 pro and iPhone 14 pro max. Apple A16 Bionic chip is an upgraded version of the A15 processor used in the 13 Pro Max. It provides more efficiency gains of A15 bionic on 5nm Mode. The latter was reportedly used to power the entire iPhone 13 lineup and the 14 and iPhone 14 max.

Apple was repairing for the iPhone 14 Pro to be its first 3nm processor, but it won't be applicable, so A16 might be built using 4nm technology, a smaller leap compared to the 5nm process used on the 13 series.

Apple is also said to stick with 6GB of RAM on the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

The iPhone Pro Max expects to operate on iOS16.

Storage

Last year, iPhone 13 pro and iPhone 13 pro-Max had the memory of 6GB, so an increase to 8 GB would be nice in the iPhone 14 pro and iPhone pro max, but Apple Will most probably sticks to 6GB.

Regarding native storage, the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max will almost certainly start at 128GB and expand to 256GB, 512GB, and even 1TB. It will store all your songs, videos, games and more on the phone without worrying about space constraints.

Camera

Apple is developing a significant camera upgrade for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Cupertino expects to introduce a much larger primary camera sensor, a massive 1/1.3 inch 48MP main sensor. Despite having such a large sensor, the iPhone Pro will almost certainly use pixel-binning to combine four pixels into one and eventually deliver 12MP photographs, just like it does now, but with improved dynamic range and light sensitivity in low-light conditions.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a triple camera system similar to their predecessors: a 48MP wide-angle camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 3.3x 12MP telephoto lens with maximum versatility. In addition, there will almost certainly be a LiDAR sensor on the back, allowing the phone to detect depth and enhance portraiture and all other AR functions.

The next iPhone 14 Pro Max should be able to shoot 8K video with the primary camera to the 48MP sensor. iPhones can currently only record 4K video at 60 frames per second.

Battery

The iPhone 14 Pro Max's battery may be larger than its predecessor's. This is an encouraging claim, given that the iPhone 13 Pro Max already has excellent battery life.

The battery capacity may be slightly lower at 4,323mAh, down from 4,352mAh in the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Meanwhile, there have been rumblings of a switch from Lightning to USB-C in unlikely features. This is likely to happen eventually, especially now that the EU has made it a requirement in 2024, but we doubt it will happen on the iPhone 14 line.

There has also been a query about a future portless iPhone that only supports wireless charging, but it doesn't appear that Apple will go that far for the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

iPhone 14 Pro Max Vs iPhone 14 Pro: What to expect

iPhone14 Pro Max and iPhone Pro both will support 5G, and there are rumours that we might see satellite calling on the iPhone 14 series; if any two phones get it, it will be the iPhone 14 series.

iPhones provide the best warranty. It provides a warranty for five to six years. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will be up to date for five to six-year, which is what the mobile industry offers.

Summary and Final Verdict

After summarising the iPhone 14 Pro vs 14 Pro Max, what do you prefer?

It all boils down to your preferences according to the size, storage etc.

If you want the best possible battery life and the most screen real estate, you can reach iPhone 14 pro max. On the other hand, if you don't need a larger battery size and display, you can go for iPhone 14 pro. The reality of the newly/ launched phones is that they involve all new features, but regardless of your preferences and pick-up, you will have the best iPhone that will serve you for over a decade.
