Is Your Phone Overheating?

If you’re facing overheating issues on your phone then, we’re here to help. Unfortunately, it is a common issue that all smartphones face over time of use. Although, the phone companies do have the right technology to prevent phone from heating up excessively. Since smartphones don’t have internal fans, the heating problem still exists. So, here are some things you can do next time your phone feels like you just took it out of an oven.

Lose The Back Cover

It is an obvious thing to do when the phone heats up, and it is not to prevent the melting of the back cover. The back cover is designed to prevent hardware damages during a fall, but it also acts as an insulator. It prevents the phone from cooling off faster. So in a case where your phone heats up, please take off the back cover till it cools back up.

Remove The Phone From Any Heat Source

You might have noticed that your phone heats up faster while you use it outdoors in the sunlight. So, if it is under direct sunlight or a fireplace, then get it away from there unless you want to cook an omelette!

Close Any Background Apps

As our smartphones got powerful with much better RAM, we tend not to exit the app properly after we’re done using it. I mean, who has the time, right? But you should. These sneaky apps are silently using up the processor and causing your phone to heat up.

Close Any Heavy Apps

No wonder your phone is heating up if you’re using an app that requires some processing power. So if your phone is overheating while you’re playing a super fun game, you might want to get off it.

Turn off GPS, Bluetooth, Use Airplane Mode

GPS is one of the significant reason for your phone to heat up. So if the phone starts heating up, you know what to do. You can also turn off the Bluetooth of the phone. Turn on the Airplane mode which will turn off Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth and all other network-related features on your phone.

Avoid Charging Your Phone

If your phone is heating, avoid charging it even if you need to. Let it cool off for a while and then, charge it once it cools down. A phone always runs a little hot while charging it, so if the phone is already overheating, you might want to hold off on charging the phone for a while.

These methods are the best ways to cool off your phones. However, if your phone is still heating excessively, then you might want to visit a trusted repair centre near you. Let the technicians diagnose your device to determine the issue cause pretty sure you don’t want to cook an omelette!
